I expect to finish my doctoral thesis late 2010 or early 2011, with specialization in the physics of nano-materials.

I personally am setting up a scanning atomic force microscope (AFM), which will be used to map the surface of probes and tip-enhance our Raman-spectroscopic methods. If all goes well we plan to tune the instrument to single-molecule sensitivity.

I am a physics student at the University of Brunswick, here in Lower Saxony, and am currently associated with the work-group of Professor Peter Lemmens, working on the Raman-spectroscopic characterisation of nano-compositional and other interesting materials, and related scientific undertakings.
